The annual Chevron City to Surf for Activ, the South West’s favourite fun run returns to Busselton this weekend. The fun run raises money for the Activ Foundation which finds employment and housing for people living with a disability.

More than 1,100 locals and regional enthusiasts are expected to run, walk and roll through the 4km or 12km course, which kicks off at the beautiful Geographe Bay Marina and finishes at Signal Park with family friendly entertainment.

Some familiar faces will be seen on course, including local Mayor Grant Henley who is completing the 4km leg; Commonwealth Games gold medallist, ambassador and basketball legend Damian Martin; influencer and running enthusiast, Rochelle Rodgers; local ambassador Raziel Pollard; and Activ All Stars, Mia Rodriguez, Christie Erenshaw, and Paul Mitchell.

Busselton Mayor Grant Henley commented, “The City of Busselton is happy to be part of the Chevron City to Surf for Activ success story. Now in its sixth year in Busselton, this iconic road-race raises vital funds for the Activ Foundation and enables regional people to participate in the event without having to travel to the Perth. I’m really looking forward to participating in the event along with many other local runners and walkers. I extend my thanks to all those involved in bringing the event to Busselton and the many volunteers who help out – it’s going to be a great fun day!”

Whether you’re taking part in the fun run, or not there’s plenty of reasons to head down to the finish line where free family entertainment is scheduled between 7.30 am to 11.00 am. Bunbury’s own singer songwriter, Naomi Dixon will headline the main stage, with plenty on for the kids including the Activ silent disco, DJ’s, bouncy castle and face painting.
