What are the dates of the 2024 events?

The Perth event will be held on Sunday 25 August, while the Karratha event is on Sunday 28 July.

What does my entry fee cover?

Your registration fee includes:

  • 50th Anniversary Branded Event T-shirt
  • Bib + Timing Device
  • Finisher’s Medal
  • Finisher’s Certificate
  • On-course Entertainment
  • Closed Roads for Participant Safety
  • Aid Stations On-course (with water, electrolytes, toilets, and first aid)
  • Medical Support/Assistance
  • Post-event Recovery Area at the Finish Precinct (including fruit and electrolytes)
  • Family-friendly Finish Precinct (including food vendors, entertainment, and rides)
  • Free Public Transport for Participants

How can I register to take part?

You can register online for the Perth event here and the Karratha event here.

 

Registrations are open until 12:00pm Saturday 24 August for Perth and 12:00pm Saturday 27 July for Karratha.

Can I register on the morning of the event?

Unfortunately, we will not be accepting on-the-day registrations in Perth or Karratha. As such, we recommend that you sign-up online in advance to ensure that you secure your spot!

Can I swap courses once I’ve signed-up?

Yes, you will be able to upgrade from the 4km course to the 12km course and also downgrade from the 12km course to the 4km course.

There is a ‘Transfer Distance’ button on the side of the Race Roster event page to do so. If you are having difficulty please email the team at hello@perthcitytosurf.com.au.

Can I transfer my registration to another person?

You can transfer your registration across to another person by contacting us at hello@perthcitytosurf.com.au.

What are the course options?

The Chevron City to Surf for Activ will have a fun, family-friendly focus in 2024. You can sign-up for either the 4km or 12km walk, run or roll with both options suitable for people of all ages and abilities.

Can I rollerblade, ride or scooter the course?

Due to safety regulations, the use of rollerblades, bikes and scooters is not permitted in the Chevron City to Surf for Activ.

Can I bring my pet with me?

As much as we love furry friends, you will not be able to bring your pet along to the event. Dogs are also strictly prohibited at City Beach Oval from Friday 23 August to Monday 26 August inclusive, and infringements may apply. Note that assistance dogs are permitted.

Where do the Perth courses start and finish?

The 4km course starts from McLean Park in Floreat, and the 12km course will begin on St Georges Terrace in the Perth CBD. Both courses finish on City Beach Oval, which will be transformed into a family-friendly precinct with activities, entertainment and much, much more!

Can I attend the event if I’m not participating?

Of course! We encourage you to come along and cheer on our amazing walkers, runners and rollers on-route and also at the finish line. The finish line will be transformed into a family-friendly precinct, so join us on the day to enjoy activities, entertainment and more. You can also help out on the day by volunteering.

Who is the event raising money for?

As the largest annual fundraiser for Activ Foundation, the Chevron City to Surf for Activ will help raise vital funds to support the thousands of Western Australian’s living with disability.

What should I wear?

We encourage people to get crazy and creative and come in just about anything. Or you can wear your favourite running gear. Make sure your walking/running shoes fit well (and you’ve worn them before to make sure they are comfy). And bring a hat and sunscreen to slip, slop, slap.

Is there a medal for every finisher?

We’re very pleased to confirm that all 4km and 12km participants will receive a medal when they cross the finish line on City Beach Oval.

What road closures will be in place for the event? How can you get to the event with all the road closures?

Can I drive to the event?

We encourage participants to take public transport as it’s the quickest and easiest way of getting to the event. If you do want to drive though, head here for more info. Please be aware that there will be road closures in and around the CBD on event day.
