Rayne Bryant is a blogger, podcaster, single mother of three, and founder of the online lifestyle magazine Rayne Ella. She has jumped on board as an official Chevron City to Surf for Activ Ambassador and is training hard for this year’s half marathon in Perth.
Rayne wants to pave the way for a brighter, kinder, more empathetic future for her kids. She has worked hard for so many years to be in a position where she’s able to start giving back to her community.
For Rayne, supporting Activ means supporting thousands of people across WA as they strive to realise their dreams in an encouraging and inclusive environment.
“Activ strives for equality and to educate the community that it’s not an us and them mentality, it’s an ‘if it’s important to you, then it’s important to us’ way of life. As a mother of three young children, this is a message I’m proud to be spreading.”
Rayne’s blog and Instagram are brimming with tips for people hoping to incorporate some wellness into their lifestyle. But even for a wellness advocate, finding time to train for the gruelling half marathon distance can be a challenge.
“So far my training has been 3 runs per week. In between, I do a strength class and a stretch or yoga class. My glutes can get weak which puts pressure on my knees so it’s really important I look after my body when I’m training.”
For the weeks between now and the race, Rayne hopes to dedicate 1.5 hours each Sunday to running non-stop. We’re sure that will put her in good stead to finish the half marathon on race day with her trademark smile!
We hope that Rayne has inspired you to want to pave the way for a brighter WA future. If you’d like to come and run with Rayne, there’s still time to register to run the Chevron City to Surf for Activ.
We’re still looking for volunteers too, so you can give back without needing to train by joining us on race day as a volunteer.
