VIRTUAL EVENT FAQ
What is the Virtual Event?
The Virtual Event lets you complete your chosen distance anywhere during the official event week – walk, jog, or run outdoors or on a treadmill at a time that suits you.
Track your kilometres and time using a smartwatch, phone app, or treadmill. Take a screenshot or photo showing your start time, finish time, date, and total distance (record each session if completing your distance in multiple parts).
Upload your image to your Race Roster dashboard for verification. Once approved, we’ll send out your official Chevron City to Surf for genU event shirt and finisher medal.
When can I complete my virtual event?
You can complete your distance anytime between 24 August and 6 September 2026. All results must be submitted before the closing deadline listed.
Can I still participate if my pack hasn’t arrived yet?
Absolutely! Your participation isn’t dependent on receiving your shirt beforehand. You can complete your distance during event week and your medal and shirt will arrive shortly after if you registered after the postage cut-off.
Can I complete my event with friends or family?
Yes! You can take part with friends, family, or colleagues – just make sure each participant is officially registered.
Can I use a treadmill?
Yes, treadmill activities are accepted. Just record your distance and time and submit it through the results link.
Is there a minimum pace or time limit?
Nope! The virtual event is all about participation. Walk, jog, or run at your own pace.
